David A. Crissman is the Mayor of Bellefontaine, having taken office on January 1, 2024. Prior to stepping into his role as mayor, David dedicated over 30 years to serving the city as a firefighter and paramedic, beginning his career in September 1991 and retiring in January 2022. His dedication to serving and protecting his community has been a cornerstone of his career.
A lifelong Bellefontaine resident, David, has witnessed the city’s growth and transformation firsthand. As mayor, he is eager to contribute to its continued development, striving to ensure that Bellefontaine remains a thriving community while preserving its rich history and strong sense of community.
Outside of his professional life, David enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking through the woods and exploring the mountains. He also cherishes vacationing with friends and spending quality time with his granddaughter.
With a deep-rooted connection to Bellefontaine, David remains committed to serving his community, both through the years of dedication he gave as a first responder and now in his current role as a mayor.
