Mission Statement

The purpose of the Bellefontaine Cultural Arts Commission is to foster lifelong awareness of and appreciation for the arts - near and far - and to promote the networking of local arts and artistic organizations. To carry out its mission, the Commission strives to strengthen and integrate the arts into all aspects of community life.

Members and officers of the BCAC are nominated by an Executive Committee and approved by the BCAC Advisory Board. The Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District Board of Trustees then appoints members and officers to the BCAC for a term of three years.  Associate members are nominated by the BCAC Advisory Board

The BCAC holds its meetings the second Thursday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall in Bellefontaine. If there are any questions, please call 937-592-3475. The public is encouraged to attend.
